Faithful readers of this blog (all two or three of them!) will know that we’ve been fostering De De. She’s been with us about three weeks now. Somehow she melted everyone’s heart (even mine) and we’ve decided to adopt her and make her a full fledged member of the family. Even though I do complain a bit about De De and her attention-grabbing antics, I am really happy that we’ve decided to keep her. As Mama said "I just can’t imagine giving De De to anyone else". De De is really funny and she loves to play with me. We do "play fighting" all the time which we Havanese love to do.
De De is getting used to the routine around here and with a few more pointers from me, she should be OK!
I guess we’re sisters now! Here’s a few photos of Dede to officially welcome her to the family. These were taken at sundown looking over Shady Canyon.

Dear Ruffles,
What a wonderful daughter you are to accept DeDe into your family and share your wonderful life!
I am so proud of you and so happy that you were chosen by such a wonderful family. Give DeDe and your family many kisses from us here at Briarcliff.
Love,
Peaches
Thank you Mom for your kind words. I learned it all from you! I will be sure to say Hi to DeDe for you.
Nice going Ruffles. You have a sister now.

Congratulations, Ruffles, on resigning yourself to living with a glory-hogging sibling. And don’t worry, Dearest, it gets better — EVENTUALLY! LOL
See you both soon!
Love, Uncle Bill
Thank you Uncle Bill. You are the only one who really understands my predicament. She is a glory hogging sibling, but I do love her already. So we will see if love really does conquer all. Did you see my newest media effort, the animated ruffles on the sidebar? If not, check it out. More to come.
Much Love,
Ruffles
Dearest Ruffles,
How Do you Do with all this Tumultuous rearranging of the family kingdom? I’m sure with your Normal Noblesse Oblige . . . Like the Ultima Princessa de la Casa that you are!
I bet that Deedee (what’s with the shorting of the vowels?) is a Tart! And surely she’s abducted the Prince’s heart, as those errant organs are wont to wander . . .
At your peril you forget how, in ‘All About Eve’s Ann Baxter — that hussy — unseated the reigning Bette Davis, even though she buckled up for her bumpy ride . . .
You just can’t be too careful about those younger adorable pups with their Batting Lashes . . .
The Prince assumes you’ll fall in love with Deedee too . . . but at least you could take your own respectable time . . .
Confidentially,
Auntie Beth
